CD Media World - Archive
The content of CD Media World has not been updated since 2010 and is obviously quite outdated by now!

CD Media Word was created early 1998 when writable CD media became hot and many manufacturers started making them. This has resulted in a quite extensive database of different brand/type (re-)writable CD & DVD media.

As it always happened this also attracted a few manufacturers, like RiTEK, that were more interested in quantity than quality. This resulted in the: Philips Inferior Quality CD-R's

This was also the time when the first CD Copy Protections started to popup, starting with CD protections for PC Games, like SecuROM & SafeDisc, and later on the protected Audio CD's.

The Game Protections part of the site became so big that it was later that year moved to: GameCopyworld
