BUENA PARK, Calif., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Yamaha Corporation of America announces the inclusion of SCSI and Ultra SCSI controller cards from Iwill®, an industry-leading manufacturer of SCSI and IDE RAID motherboards and adapters, in its list of recommended SCSI interface controller models for Yamaha's newly-launched family of CRW8824 CD-RW recorders. Two models, the SIDE®2930C and SIDE®2930U+ host adapters, offer users the ultimate in performance and connectivity for their computer systems and peripherals such as HDD, CD-R, CD-RW and scanners. The SIDE®2930C and SIDE®2930U+ provide SuperSCSI device protocol for easy, user-friendly installation, and ensure fast, error-free system setup as well as configuration diagnostics. Both units are compatible with Mac and IBM PC platforms, and utilize a PCI interface. Additionally, both units can connect up to 7 devices-including multiple CD-RW drives-and include internal and external connectors.

The SIDE®2930C provides up to 10 MB/sec data transfer rate, and can connect to any non-bootable SCSI device. Equipped with Plug & Play, the unit also contains an active Poly Switch fuse. The SIDE®2930U+ provides up to 20 MB/sec data transfer rate, and contains auto-termination for Plug & Play installation.
