Fastest Write Speeds In The Industry Plus Expanded Range of Connectivity and Portability
GARDEN CITY, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 24, 2001--TDK Electronics, a world leader in digital recording and playback solutions, today announced the introduction of six new veloCD ReWriters - three 32X and three 24X models.
With these burner introductions, TDK aims to be first to market with a 32X burner, which is scheduled for availability in December. The expanded line offers users the broadest choice in speed and connectivity options, with internal ATAPI, external IEEE-1394 and external USB 2.0 models in each speed family. In addition, TDK's burner introductions include the company's first slim portable CD ReWriter, a 24X model with IEEE-1394 connectivity.
TDK's fastest burners all feature 32X write, 10X rewrite and 40X data read speeds with full 40X read/rip- the highest performance in the industry. In TDK's 24X burner family, the company's internal ATAPI CD burner is now joined by three new external models, each offering 24X write, 10X rewrite and 40X read/rip speeds.
TDK's first-ever portable veloCD burner is ideal for the on-the-go executive, students, music lovers or anyone who wants convenience and legendary TDK reliability in a go-anywhere CD burner. The unique new drive will offer 24x write, 10x rewrite, and 40x read/rip speeds while measuring just 7`` long by 5.5'' wide by 1.25`` deep and weighs just over one pound. And thanks to its IEEE-1394/FireWire connectivity, the Model FE-241040X is ideal for both Windows and Mac OS-based computers and laptops.
All of the new veloCD burners offer bit-perfect music and data recording performance -- and thanks to the inclusion of Buffer Underrun Protection, veloCD models eliminate clicks, pops and coasters for perfect recordings every time -- even during multitasking operations.
All TDK veloCD burners come with a comprehensive suite of versatile music management and recording software. PC users have the benefit of TDK's CD Blender software suite, consisting of TDK Digital Mixmaster music management and recording software, plus Nero(TM) 5.5 CD recording software, InCD(TM) drag-and-drop packet writing software and other useful utilities. For Macintosh users, all FireWire enabled TDK veloCDs are supplied with Adaptec's versatile Toast music and multimedia CD creation software.
