MedioStream Announces New Version of neoDVDstandard

Complete DVD Publishing Solution Provides Enhanced Editing Features, More Video Capture Options, and VCD Support

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 2001--MedioStream, a leading provider of PC-based software for recording digital video to DVD, today announced the release of neoDVDstandard version 2.0, with enhanced features that make it easier than ever to transfer digital video to CD and DVD discs.

neoDVDstandard version 2.0 offers several new editing features for users to customize their video for burning onto a CD or DVD disc. Users can now quickly and easily add sound via .wav files, and incorporate simple transitions from scene to scene. For added convenience, neoDVDstandard version 2.0 also allows users to set time period for capturing live or from tape, so if they want only the first 15 minutes of a video, they can pre-set the limit and let it roll. neoDVDstandard version 2.0 lets users burn up to 15 minutes of DVD video or 45 minutes of VCD video onto a single CD, providing consumers the flexibility of using either a CD or DVD burner to author DVDs.

"When you can't be there in person, neoDVD is a great way for people to create video mementos and share holiday memories with friends and family around the world," said Gordon Doran, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for MedioStream. "Even if you don't have a DVD burner, neoDVDstandard version 2.0 lets you record enough video onto a CD using a standard CD-R/RW to capture all your holiday highlights and personalize them for your loved ones."

MedioStream is offering a free trial download of neoDVDstandard version 2.0 from its Web site at www.mediostream.com that allows consumers to edit, author and burn up to five 15-minute video clips.

"We think it's a great way for people to learn how easy it is to make DVDs," said Doran. "Come by the site, try it out, and we think that you'll be amazed at how much you like it.
